Volleyball Australia and Royal Far West announce Community Partnership
Volleyball Australia and children’s charity Royal Far West have announced a unique community partnership that will transform Royal Far West’s Country Guest House into an Athlete Village during the 2016 Manly Volleyfest, with accommodation costs to be invested back into the not-for-profit facility and its services at Manly Beach.
‘We are delighted to announce our community partnership with Royal Far West, an organisation that supports so many Australian rural communities providing them with the amazing health and wellbeing facilities here at Manly Beach,” Volleyball Australia Chair Mr Craig Carracher said.
“Volleyball Australia is a strong family and community-based organisation and we have a strong alignment with the Royal Far West values of caring for kids and their families and helping young people be the best that they can be” Carracher said.
Royal Far West helps children with health and developmental issues from regional Australia. They also offer accommodation to corporate, school, sporting and community groups to help build strong connections between metropolitan and country communities.
Across the ten-day period, some of the World’s best Volleyball athletes from across Australia, China, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Vanuatu, Oman, Indonesia, Thailand, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Qatar, Japan, Fiji and Singapore will reside at Drummond House situated right in the heart of Manly.

NSW Premier Mike Baird welcomed the partnership between the competition organisers and Royal Far West.
